Insulation Components

Schunk Kohlenstofftechnik GmbH is manufacturer and supplier of graphite felts for insulation in the high temperature range.
These graphite felts can be used in runs or as dimensionally stable oxathermal bodies under a vacuum or with inert gas up to temperatures of 2,800 °C. Schunk also supplies graphite felts in cleansed versions for applications where the highest level of cleanliness is required (e.g. in the semiconductor industry).
Flexible FIBERFOIL foils manufactured from carbon fibre reinforced carbon (CFC) can be used in the following areas:

• as radiation protection foil at high temperatures
  
• as foil covering during in sintering
  
• as thermal insulation during hot glass handling
  
• as contamination protection in the semiconductor industry
  
• as flexible thermal conductors under vacuum or inert gas conditions
